Many cultures have believed in vampires throughout our history. Although, the folklore or myths are not always benevolent versions of our entity. The vampire evolved a dark side with a bad reputation, just like evil developed a bad reputation, because of the rebellion of ancient scriptures (in zherraxis it’s taught that all differences have a righteous path & a wrongful path, the rebellion is what twisted the image & purpose of evil into the corrupted wrongful immoral version that our ancient scriptures has foretold, but originally evil was designed to be the enforcers & punishers of wrongdoers in hell; like Greek balanced order with Zeus of Olympus & Hades of Tartarus).

Vampires once trained in energy manipulation could cycle the energies between themselves & patients for healings & cleansings. It is the practice of neutralizing negative energies then siphoning them out from patients & discharging them before siphoning positive energy into patients as part of healing (etc). Not all vampires are trained in the healing arts & it is a requirement to perform such practices. When there are boundaries in the way of development, believers & followers of the blood could contribute to the development of their vampire healers, like practitioners of religions contribute to their priests & monks for their spiritual services.
